Geoastra is the electronic music project of Juan Lucio, Santiago-based DJ, music producer and sound engineer. Born in Cartago, Colombia in 1994, at an early age started contributing to the local scene with different projects since 2008, performing in festivals and venues in South America alongside Speedy J, Mitú, Setaoc Mass, Polar Inertia, Developer, Claudio PRC, to name a few. He has also worked with various labels under different monikers; as ‘J. David’ (Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Brickwork, Road Trip Recordings), ‘Geometric89’ with his brother Christian Lucio (G89 Records, K-84 Records, Rehue) and ‘Beyond Humans’ also with his brother (Alss, Utch, Virescence, Force Inc. / Mille Plateaux and No Way Records). In 2015 Juan and his brother Chris founded together G89 Records, a label created as a platform for innovative and disruptive electronic music directed to future generations.
